Book Club

Hey everyone, I was wanting to start a book club and was wondering if anyone would be interested. I love to share great books with other people, plus it gives us an excuse to get together and eat and talk. Let me know if you would be interested.

Hunting Season!

Well hunting season is upon us. It has dominated all of our free time for the last two weeks. This is the first year I have gone bow hunting and it was absolutely amazing. I had never heard an elk bugle in the woods before, and I swear it will raise the hairs on your neck. We saw bulls fighting, rolling in wallows, banging their horns on trees it was awesome. Needless to say I am hooked. I have always given Cheyenne a hard time about his hunting obsession but after that experience mine might be more than his. I have been online looking at crossbows and camo for myself so next year I can be more than just a spectator. I was going to take a picture of us all camoed up but never got to. Now it is on to deer hunting until Sat when rifle elk opens.

The boys were workin!

I thought this picture was so stinkin cute with all of them in mathcing outfits. Justin has one too but he was nappin so he missed out on the picture. Jacob loves to be outside and would rather be out with his dad than anywhere else. He begs me to take him out during the day but it is so hard with Justin and the age he is. When he starts to walk it should be a little easier. Of course by there will probably be a bunch of snow.:)

Reality Check

It's cold in Pinedale right! You have no idea! For all of you that are not in this area, it snowed today, yes i said snowed! It is the first of September, I was pretty sure it would snow up high in the mountains but was a bit surprised to see it hitting the ground at my house. Cheyenne is so excited, hoping it will put the elk in the rut. Today was opening day of bow season for elk, so that will be the story of our lives for the next few months. We don't say it feels like fall we say it feels like huntin season. We are ever so thrilled to be right here in the heart of it. Chey has been working feverishly on all of his projects trying to get them done so he doesn't feel like he needs to rush home from hunting to work on anything. That man is amazing he can do just about anything he sets his mind to. He's built dog pens and houses, he is building our cattle guard, fixed the furnace, finished the garage, electrical, installed the well pump, ran the proprane line, you name it he can do it. I am so appreciative of all he does for us. We love his new job and the time it allows for him to be with us, (even if most of it is spent outside working on random things) at least we have some quality time!

Here is a picture of my little man. He looked so handsome when he got out of the shower tonight I had to take a pic. I love my boys all three of them!
