Texas

I do realize we went to Texas in May and it is now July, but I am just always so dang busy. We had a great time. The wildflowers were beautiful, it was not overly hot, we didn't have a tornado (always a plus in my book), we got to visit everyone, the kids had fun, we ended up with leeches on us (EWWWW), we caught frogs, we had a fish fry, nobody got overly sunburned (I did get a little but it wouldn't be me if I wasn't), We had to hike to the lake because the water is so low. All in All it was a great trip.

Just a couple of windmill pictures I thought turned out pretty good!

Spring Randomness

I haven't blogged in so long, I now have a ton to catch up on. I think I have enough pics to do a post everyday for the next week so hopefully that is what I will do. These pics are just some random things we have done this spring. We finally had a nice day and decided to take advantage of it, we played outside and then Becky and her girls came over and we went on a ride in the razr up the hill for a picnic. It was great fun, of course I only have pics from before the picnic because I can't ever remember my camera (good photographer huh). Anyway we have had lots of fun so far.

WYOMING Spa Treatment

Sally and her crew were here this weekend. We had a great time and the kids never run out of things to do when they are here. We went out to check on them and found this. We discussed whether or not to make them get out and decided it was just mud and it will wash. After a good 20 minutes of "bathing" in it, Ella runs up and says "Mom I got mud on me" she was crying and totally shocked that she was covered in mud it was hilarious. The other kids had to be drug out when they started to shiver and turn blue. We got them all showered and the only thing that suffered was the shower with a 1 in layer of mud.....

Of course because he is the smallest he got the worst of it and didn't mind at all.

This morning before Sally and Luke left Chey made pancakes for us all. I didn't get the camera until after my kids finished but here are the pics I did get.

Thanks Sall, Luke and family we had a great time.

Branding at Nick's

These are just a couple of my favorites from the branding. I will post the ones of the kids from this last week in another post.. I was a little more disturbed by the branding than I thought I would be. But once you get desensitized we all had a good time.

Becky's girls! EASTER PICS!!!

Here are some of the pictures I took of Becky's girls yesterday! There were so many cute ones it was hard to choose!! So I did collages and still didn't get all the ones I loved on here! I thought the older one would be the hardest on the chicks but She HATED them and didn't want them on her and the baby wanted to eat them! She has one heck of a grip I tell you! I have a hard time getting ahold of those little chicks, but Bentley had NO problems she grabbed wings, head, she didn't care. I had a hard time taking the pictures cause I was laughing so stinking hard!

Criminal On the Loose!!

The Crime::
::The Criminal::
Jacob comes in and says mom Justin threw water all over me.
Me: (from the other room) Oh he did I'm sorry honey (walking around the corner)
Jacob:: (whining) YEAHHHH
Me:: (seeing Jacob's face for the first time) (laughing) Oh I guess he did, let me get the camera
We are loving that it is getting nice outside. The boys wanted to go out and play and I had some stuff to do so I figured it would be harmless to let them go out by themselves and I would just keep checking up on them. This is was I get!! Ohwell mud washes and all in all they had a great time!

Feeding the Elk

So yesterday morning Cheyenne and I had the opportunity to go up to the scab creek feedgrounds and help feed the elk. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. There were about 700 head of elk on the feedground. They come right up to the wagon and eat off of it. They were up close and personal. There were some nontypical (freaks) bulls who's horns grew in weird ways. There was one that looked like a unicorn. His right horn grew normal but his left horn grew out of the center of his head. We realized when we saw him that we found his antler from last year. When we found it we knew it was a weird horn and then as soon as we saw that elk Cheyenne said that is the shed we found last year. We compared the shed to pictures and sure enough exactly the same. It was so neat. They feed with a team of horses and either a sleigh or wagon. Now that the snow is melting they feed with the wagon. The horses move alot faster than I would have expected and you definitely needed to be hangin on.

hitching up the team

A fuzzy little baby

A couple of bulls up on the hill feeding

This was a really neat bull. Cheyenne thinks he must be old. His rack was big and his tines were really long but he was only a 4x5

A bull up close

Look at all those horns.

This is a shed that was just laying there. Right in the middle of the road. The feeders pick up all the sheds and turn them into the G&F and then they sell them up in Jackson. All of the money goes back into the program to feed the elk.

These are a very few of the pictures I took. We had something like 174 pictures, but this gives you a pretty good idea.
One more random pic. Jacob has this totallyt bizzarro rash and my mom wanted to see a pic so here it is. This is significantly improved from what he looked like this morning.

My week in review

I am trying to be better at kind of using this as a journal. Here is your warning this is personal info mostly meant for me and my posterity. You have been warned read on at your own risk.

So the week started with Justin running a fever. I thought we were finally all better and then he woke up monday morning not feeling well. he ran a fever for the day and into the night but woke up the next morning without it. I do not do very well with sickness and when I think I am at a point where I can't handle anymore I often turn to the Savior. It took me a really long time to understand that we had to have trials to learn and I think I am finally understanding the concept. I would not go so far as to say I appreciate my trials but I guess I will get there at some point (maybe). Anyway so Cheyenne and I are teaching this Sunday School class and it has forced me to do way more studying and pondering than I usually do. I have always been told that you can only skate around on someone elses testimony for so long before you have to gain your own. I think I skated for a really long time. Little by little I am gaining a strong unshakable testimony in many things. I have always had the basis and as I experience and study different parts of the gospel really jump out at me. Anyway random tangent.

As the week progressed I was thankful Justin was feeling better and then on thursday Jacob spent a good part of the day crying and I knew I was in for another round of sickness. He woke up Friday in the early morning and the poor kid was so stuffed up he couldn't sleep. He got up and seemed to be feeling a little better but his whole head was stopped up. He went to his Grandma's to play and she called me and said his neck was swollen and maybe since it was Friday I should take hime to the clinic so I did. The glands in his neck are huge. He can't hardly talk because his throat is so swollen he can't breath because his head is so plugged. He is just miserable. Saturday night was a little better than Friday and we are hoping tonight will be a little better than last. Coop sounds a little congested but we are hoping and praying that he is not in for the same misery Jacob has suffered over the last few days. So today is Sunday and Grandpa stayed home with the kids so chey and I could go teach our lesson (thanks Grandpa). Here is a picture of our sick little boy. You can see the glands in his neck poking out :( poor baby!

I am truly hoping for a better week, Thankful though that it wasn't worse, and so ready for some warmer weather to hopefully get rid of the winter BUGS!

Oh ya on Saturday a family came over for me to do some maternity pictures, it was fun and I got some good shots. I am so critical of myself and was a little disappointed that I didn't get more but I definitely got SOME good ones. Here are two of my faves.

Fishing for something!

So first of all we actually got our ducks in a row this morning and had a few minutes to spare so we took a little family pic. It has been a really long time since we have had a decent family pic and this one turned out pretty cute so here it is. Of course the photographer in me would really like some more professional looking ones but for now this will work.

Yesterday we went fishing at Grandma's cabin and me with the mad fishin skills I have caught the one and only fish. It was a pretty nice one so we had to take pics and blog them. Sorry we look like dorks but the sun was really bright. We all had fun gettin out for awhile and of course I was proud of being the "one" to catch the fish!

Sisters

Here are a couple of my faves from the pics I took while I was in Brighton. They are some girls that used to be in my sisters ward and I have done their family pics twice now. I thought these turned out good.

I have horse

I have so much to blog from our Denver trip but, I am waiting for thepics from my sister. So today you just get to know we are all still alive (barely). We are back home (finally). We had a great time. And we all have these stupid colds we can't seem to get rid of (YUCK). I do have a funny little story to tell about Jacob before I forget though! We were at my moms on Sunday evening and the boys were eating dinner. Jacob had a juice and I wanted him to give Justin a drink and he says to me he can't have a drink, I said why not and Jacob says because I am sick. I said oh you are and he says yes. I say well what is wrong with you and he says " I have horse. Justin is better and I surely don't want him to get horse too!" So just so you know when you cough and your voice sounds a little funny it is nothing to worry about you just have Horse!

BORING!!!!!

That's what it has been around my house. I have absolutely nothing to blog about. My Dad came last weekend and we snowmobiled Green River Lakes. That was fun. Both Chey and my Dad had a blast making fun of me for how slow I go. The week before that I was in Rock springs staying with my mom while Chey went to Denver for work. That was fun too. I got to see some friends and hang out with my mom which is also a blast. but other than that its been nothing. I had to get a tooth pulled yesterday that was fun. It was a tooth I had had a root canal on and it still went bad when the dentist pulled the tooth he found that the files they use to do a root canal were all still in my tooth. HMMM not so good. Anyway its gone and everything is fine. I am one tough cookie so it didn't even hurt too much.

Jacob is Jacob. He cracks me up regularly. He is always popping off with some random movie quote. They are not always appropriate words for him to be saying and he usually uses them in the right context. We try not to laugh and tell him he can't say words like that but it is usually pretty funny. He runs in the living room yesterday jumps up in the chair and says "Fuzzy Nabels for all of my friends." I knew when he said it that it had to have come from a movie I just wasn't sure which one. He later informed me thats what Shrek says. Niether Jacob nor his friends will be drinking fuzzy Nables any time soon however.

Justin is wild he is always going at about a million miles an hour. He hardly talks he just walks around and says uh uh uh. Then when you tell him to say something he just nods is head. It is aggravating to say the least. He's a pretty funny baby and keeps us laughing also.

Sally and Luke are finally moving back everything has been finalized and are now just ironing out the last details. Unfortunately the market in Colorado has dropped significantly since they bought their house but they are willing to take the loss to move back by Sal's family. We are thrilled that they are coming back. I finally convinced Chey to go visit them so we are going next weekend to see them. I am way excited to finally go as a whole family. Chey is going for the weekend and then he is leaving the boys and I there for the rest of the week and I will catch a ride home with my parents the following weekend. I have some people there that want me to do family pics for them one last time. It seems this is the only placeI can get any business which is so totally ironic to me. There is all this competition there and I have people begging me to come one more time and do pictures. Here there are like 2 photographers and nobody ever calls weird huh. well it is what it is and I am looking forward to one last Co trip before Sal moves back.

Ahhh Rested!!!

Well for the first time in 3 yrs 3 months and 11 days I got to sleep through the night. It was an amazing moment when I woke up this morning and realized I was still in my own bed and there were no children in it. Jacob has slept through the night a handful of times but it didn't start happening until after I had Justin and of course he wasn't sleeping through the night. It is the first time Justin has ever slept through the night and thank heavens it concurred with one of the few that Jacob has. IT IS AS FABULOUS AS I REMEMBER! Thanks my little children for one night of rest!

Justin's New Words

Okay So I am a total spaz most of the time. Sorry about the video yesterday. This time you are going to have to watch the whole thing and just ignore all the junk in between. I tried to edit it out but the program I was using wouldn't let me then put it here. So here you go junk and all. He is still very funny and keeps us laughing, most of the time. Just don't ask me how my nights are!!!!!! Enjoy.
