Milestones

Well Justin is officially crawling. I think he finally got it down a day or two ago. Even then he would only go for things that were relatively close. Now he crawls about the house. not quite everywhere yet, but the day is coming.
We got our construction loan all squared away and the house should be shipped Monday. They showed our house in RS again today, we are still waiting and hoping that someone soon will make an offer.
The weather is still cloudy, cool, and a little breezy here. We are hoping for a nice weekend so we will see what it brings. I heard the coyotes out yipping last night so maybe we will see if we can call one in this weekend. I have never seen it done, but I heard it is pretty neat.

For My future info I wanted to write a few things down, here they are:

Unleaded Gas: $3.92 a gallon
Pinedale Graduating Class 2008: 60

Those are just a couple of things that I wanted to remember later. I can go back when my boys graduate and compare numbers. Hopefully we will be seeing a break at the gas pump soon, but I am not counting on it. Anyway I wish I had fabulous plans for the weekend but if I do I don't know it yet.

Sad I missed it

My family (ie my mom, dad, sister and her chillins) just called and they have returned safely from a reunion in Texas. It is called the unfamily, a bunch of old friends get together every memorial day at the lake my grandparents live on in Texas. It has been happening as long as I can remember and this was the last one. I really wish I could have been there, but circumstances wouldn't allow it this year. So to all of you reunioners i missed you and wish I could have been there.

The weather didn't allow for much for us here in Boulder, but we barbecued yesterday with Cheys parents and Grandma. That was nice. It was also nice for Chey to have an extra day off. Between rain showers Jake and I took a little four wheeler ride to the back of the property and these are the pics I took. I feel awfully lucky for this to be my backyard. It is so beautiful.

It has rained so much here but with the cold weather the runoff has slowed down drastrically the whole car is once again out of the river. It is amazing to me how the water levels can change so quickly.

Anyway we got the easement granted from the lady across the street so that is great news. i am still waiting very impatiently for news from the bank. They are showing our house again tonight to someone that has already looked at it. They have narrowed it down to our house and one other so hopefully we will have an offer tomorrow.

As with any time you build there are always set backs. Seems like a new one hits us every day. hopefully they will all work out and we will be in our new house soon.

The car in the river

This is the car in the river that I mentioned in my first blog. The water is so high now you can't really even tell it is a car, but those two round things are the headlights. The whole car is out of the water at normal water level.

I call this my barn series. I am going to edit these pictures and frame them and hang them in my house. I love pictures of really cool barns.

We call this picture the babysitter. It was taken while all the cows were calving. This one was voted to stay and watch the calves while the other mommas got to eat

Nice Weather huh!

This is what we woke up to this morning! I thought the weather was finally nice HAH! I guess we need the moisture though, we did wish it was in the form of rain and accompanied by a little warmer temps but I guess we will take what we can get. To all of you in Texas enjoying the nice weather, think of me. I miss you, I love you, and I wish I was there with you. They are showing our house in RS tomorrow maybe we will get an offer. If not we are talking about possibly renting to own it to a couple we know for a few months until they can get permanent financing. We are awful nervous about the prospect of two house payments. Hopefully we can close on our construction loan on Thursday and get our house shipped then.

Justin is oh so close to crawling he can do a couple of crawls and then he falls back to his scoot, I am sure he will be moving faster than we can keep up with very soon. Jacob is still just splashing around in the puddles he loves all of the rain, because he gets to put his snowboots back on and splash in the puddles. He is definitely 2 good and bad.

Jake and I went to town to the library and the grocery store today. We picked up some stuff for Grandma Myers and went and visited her today. She loves visits from Jacob. Her dog hates him but she loves him.

I sure wish we were going to have a nice day to play this weekend but I just don't think it is going to happen. Thats all for now!

Honest To Blog

Hi all. Here goes nothin with the blog. I have a myspace account but for those of you who don't I will do this and send you the links. We are living here in Pinedale, (well actually boulder) the weather has been great the last couple of days. Spring has hit here and it is absolutely beautiful. Jacob loves it outside, it is all we can do to get him in the house. His Grandma and Grandpa have a hay meadow that they irrigate and his favorite thing is to stomp around in the water. There are frogs croaking all over out there but I'll be darned it we can find one. I went to a book party today and met a couple of girls, it is nice to meet new people and hopefully I can get a friendship or two. I am still trying to get a business liscense so that I can start my photography business. Sally has drummed up a little business in brighton for me and every time I go there I have at least a couple of appointments. Everyone seems to be really pleased with their pictures so maybe I can make a go of it. Being up here in this beautiful place I have a whole lot more options for pretty places to take pictures.
The run off is in full force, maybe I will attach a couple of pictures that I took today. Up on the side of the mountain you can see the water running off. At first glance it looks like snow in a ravine or something but it is not, it is a whole lot of water. Down on the river just up the road there is an old car in the ditch and this is how the old timers judge the water level. We watch the water steadily rise up this car. Yesterday it was hinting at touching the bumper today the bumper is about half covered maybe tomorrow I will go take a pic of it so you can all see. I will post some current pictures of the boys they are growing so quickly. Thats all for now
