Santa, Ella's Dress, and a New Do
Last week we went to see santa. As I knew would happen Jacob would not have anything to do with him. I didn't give Coop much of a choice and he wasn't too sure but he never cried. I finally convinced Jake to sit by him if I sat right with them. So unfortunately you have to look at me to see my kids with Santa.
Here is this years christmas dress for Ella. I finished it last night at 11 pm hoping to get it sent off so she could wear it on Sunday (if Sall takes them to church). If all goes right it should arrive on Saturday (nothing like waitin for the last minute). Not to brag or anything but I think it turned out so stinkin cute. Wish I got to see her in it on Christmas Eve. Love you guys. Miss you and I'm thinkin of you always.

Marvel Comics Presents....
Spider-man and Naked Baby save the day!!!!!!
Jacob really really really wanted a spider-man costume. We have had fits a couple of times a week for the last three weeks or so over this costume. I had full intentions of not giving it to him until christmas, but when it got here yesterday I couldn't resist. We made him sit on the chair with his eyes closed and his daddy brought it to him. He was so excited I wish I would have gotten a picture of his face when he saw it. Needless to say it brightened his day and ours and he hasn't taken it off since.

Today's Adventure
We got out of the house today FINALLY! I had had enough of sitting in the house. So we drove up the road with Grandma to some big rocks up towards Big Sandy. It was pretty nice out and the kids had fun climbing around. We took the dogs so they could some excersize too. We planned on building a fire and roasting hot dogs, but the kids ran out of steam before we got to it. But it was still nice to get out. Thanks Grandma.

Coop's first haircut
On Monday night I gave Justin his first haircut. Neither of my boys have very much hair but his was getting a little long in the back. Daddy needed a haircut so I decided I would just cut Justin's too. He sat relatively still and he looks SO HANDSOME!

Snow Finally!
I was looking out at the hay field the other day and having a hard time believing that shortly there will be so much snow in it that we won't be able to walk across it. I have been waiting patiently for the snow and here it is. It is one of those absolutely beautiful snows when the wind is not blowing and it is just drifting nicely to the ground! I LOVE IT. This feels much more like December is supposed to feel!

Terrific Thanksgiving
We had a terrific thanksgiving. On Wednesday we had dinner with Chey's parents and Grandma. It was Craig's birthday and an early thanksgiving dinner for us. On Thursday morning we headed to Rock Springs. It was nice to be there kind of quiet this year with only 10 adults and 4 children. Sally and her family came and Nick and My parents and Jim Rafferty. We had a WONDERFUL dinner and then finished the night out with lots of cribbage.
Sally and I got up early Fri morning to do the whole black friday thing. It was so nice to be shopping just her and I with no children. When we came home Chey and Luke went and did a little shopping of their own. The best part was Fri night mom Sally and I went to Twilight. It was amazing and not even one little bit disappointing. I was afraid I it would not meet my expectations but it was great.
We came home Sat morning it was nice to be able to spend time with my family. I was glad to come home Sat though and have a day and a half before Chey had to go back to work. We spent the better half of our remaining time building a new computer desk. I am trying to get our office ready so that it can double as my studio. We are almost there and I am so happy.
Since the THANKSgiving holiday just passed here is a list of a few things I am very thankful for,
1. All of our Family
2. Chey's job and the amount of time he gets to spend at home
3. Our home
4. The fact that we live in Pinedale
5. My Faith
6. Forever Families
7. The Savior
8. All of my friends new and old
9. My gifts and talents
10. My husband
11. My children
12. My phone (silly I know)
13. the internet
14. temples
15. missionaries
16. soldiers
17. My prophet
18. the book of Mormon
The list could go on and on and on but these are just a few. Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

TENT TIME
I cleaned up the boys' toy room yesterdat so I could set their tents up for them to play in. They had such a great time. It took a little convincing to get Justin through the tunnel but once we did, I couldn't keep him out. Of course Jake wanted to keep Justin out of his tunnel so we had a little fighting. But all in all the tents were a great idea and a fun past time.

How Truly Blessed I Am
My Dear Friend called me yesterday to tell me her mom had died. She lost her battle with cancer and for the first time in a while is at peace. My heart is aching for my friend at her loss. This news made me stop and think about how tryuly blessed I am. After I heard this news, I wanted to call my mom. Then I realized it was 10:15pm and in 2 min I was going to turn the corner and lose cell phone service. So instead I just thought about her.
She is beautiful, kind, giving, compassionate, steadfast, faithful, strong, obedient, I could go on and on and on but mostly I feel blessed to have her as my Mom and my Childrens' Grammie. We love you more than words can express you are amazing and my inspiration. Love you Mom.
And Cass if you are reading this just know your mom is in a better place, she knows you love her, God loves you both, she loves you, and so do I. I am sorry for your loss and am here to do whatever you need. Take Care.
One final plug for my husband thank you thank you thank you for the opportunities you have afforded me since we have been here. You are an amazing Dad and Husband. Nothing makes me happier than to walk in and see you all cuddled up with one of our babies. LOVE YOU!

Fun with Becky
Becky came over today and hung out. It is so nice to have someone to just chill with. THANKS BECKY. I took christmas pics of her beautiful little girls it was fun. I will let her post her faves. Definately not my best work, so we might have to do a redo. But we got good enough ones for her christmas cards so we are all happy with that. My kids seem to both be healthy for a day or two so I am happy for that. Last Saturday I got invited to go play BUNCO which was a blast. Thanks ladies for inviting me it was so fun. Tonight I am going to the sound of Music with Chey's Grandma and we are both very excited.

I would like to lock myself in the House
Not that you all probably read my 100 things post however one of the things I put was how I am trying to work on my germ phobia. Well it's not going so good. Since Sept. Jacob was sick ran a fever for 5 days throwing up just all around yuck, then right before halloween my boys both got some crud that lasted for like 2 weeks. We justf inished atibiotics on Tues, and guess what??? you guessed it today Justin is running a fever! WHY WHY WHY???? I really don't do well with sickness it makes me a nervous basket case, I kinda figured Heavenly Father knew this and because of that I have had relatively healthy kids. And then there is this year. It is not lookin so good for my winter. Hopefully whatever Justin has will be short lived and nothin too serious.

Economic Crisis and Patriarchal Blessings
With this economic crisis upon us, I decided today that I would read my patriarchal blessing. I am so thankful for my testimony and my faith in Jesus Christ. Just the simple fact of believing that the promises in this blessing are true. It brings me peace and hope that everything will be okay! I am thankful for all of the blessings in my life and with that here are some beautiful pictures of my boys! I love you all more than you know!

Halloween Pics. FINALLY!!!
I have been in colorado for the last week so I haven't posted anything. I know that there is a Grandpa that is dying to see his boys in their costumes so I decided I would finally post them. We had fun trick or treating in Co it was the first time Jacob got to go trick or treating for real. He was so funny he went up to the first door with Keagan and the lady handed him his candy and he said Momma that lady gave me candy. He was so surprised. We also visited the zoo while we were there it was kind of cool so most of the animals were really active it was fun. When we got ready to leave the lion started roaring and Jacob decided that was his favorite part. On Friday on our way back through both boys had dr appts. Justin weighs 20 lbs and is 30 and 1/4 inches tall. Jacob weighs 33.5 lbs and is 39 in tall. They have both had some kind of crud for the last two weeks so they both also got antibiotics. They are both doing well.

This traffic is Atrocious!
I didn't say that it was car/truck traffic. I think it is so funny to look out the windows and see all of these random things moving up and down the highway. Yes I live on a highway and these are the things you see. Isn't it great to live in the country!!!

Update
So all the dogs came home. Oakley (our female pup) didn't have a mark on her. Lucy (the big dog) had bites on her butt, back, and head. We assume she must have taken the brunt of a coyote attack to protect the puppies. We are glad we found Shotgun because Oakley and Lucy came from a different direction than where we found him. If they would have come home before we found him we never would have looked in the right spot. We are all thankful they are home and safe and hope they won't run off again (ya right). Anyway they are home.
i was thinking the other day that I wanted to write down the funny things the kids do so I won't forget. So these are Jacob's quotable quotes
Everything happened either "esserday" or "essernight" his time references are right now esserday or tomorrow. Oh and lately we will do everything "next week". When you ask him if he wants something like
Me: "Jacob do you want chicken nuggets" he replies
Jacob: "Sure if I want too"
He calls onions yunyuns. He used to refer to Bonnie and Craig as drampa drampa when talking about them together. He likes to sing. he is afraid of fish and does not want them to flop on his feet. He loves helmets. He loves to take pics (like his mommy). Orange is his favorite color. He loves to eat chicken nuggets, noodles, elk, corn dogs, quesadillas, eggs, and fruit. He doesn't play with toys very good. He prefers to be outside. He calls our razr "the vehicle" He can't wait for it to snow enough that he can ride his snowmoblie. He loves books especially "Llama Llama red pajama" He seems to have an incredible memory and remembers stuff I would never dream he would remember. He still doesn't sleep through the night very often. Would prefer to sleep with me always. He potty trained incredibly easy just after he turned 2. He is far too rough with his little brother. Has an extremely sensitive nose.
Justin started walking on his first birthday. He is a curious little boy that likes to get in to stufff. He likes to take things apart like... The heater vent covers out of the floor, the knowbs off of cupboards, dressers, etc... the lids off of bottles and put them back on, open and shut things, he won't say a dang word except momma when he is whining and occasionally he says yum. He knows what a dog says, can growl with the best of them, clicks his tongue better than most adults (and has since he was about 5 mos old) He knows how to turn around to get off the couch and bed. He loves toys. He eats all day long and there are not many things he doesn't like. He has a totally infectious smile that lights up his whole face. He has a temper and throws things and hits. He dances anytime anything even remotely resembling music comes on.
That about all I can think of right now, so you will have to excuse these random postings, but I don't want to forget these things.

The pups took off.
So every day when I let our pups out of their pen they stick around for a while and then head across the field to play with Lucy(Craig and Bonnie's dog). Every once in a while Lucy takes off with them. Yesterday was one of those times. We called and called and called but the dogs never came home. We heard some barking across the road down by the river when we were calling last night, so this morning Bonnie went over there to have a look. She found one puppy. He was wet and cold and scared and alone. We haven't found the other two. bonnie has been looking all day and there is no sign of them. We are hoping they are OK and happy Shotgun is home.

Our Luck has changed!
So after a month and a half of hunting, this week our luck has finally changed. Cheyenne and I started hunting elk opening day of bow season (sept 1) On Sun (Oct 12) Chey got his elk. Yesterday when he got home from work I decided I would look in the spotting scope to see if I could see any elk and there they were. I said to Chey "there's the elk" He says "ya right" (as he's grabbing the binoculars, still he can't see them) I say "look right here in the scope" he looks, runs to the phone and says "dad we have the elk spotted, this time for REAL" (we've spotted a couple of elk rocks). Anyway we threw on the camo jumped on the wheelers and the race was on. I am not sure if when Chey sees elk his common sense shuts off or if he is the worlds toughest man, but I think he could run a marathon with no prior training if there were elk standing at the end of it. After a mile up hill and almost killing his dad and I we are getting closer, Cheyenne looks down a finds a deer shed (now I know our luck is changing) we drop down into this bottom and Chey heads to the sage brush to stash his deer shed when his dad points and says elk. These were not the elk we had spotted these were much closer and easier to get to so yay Craig for spotting them there were 2 bulls and some cows and calves in the bunch we took the two bulls. Stacy I totally agree with Jason only the coolest blogs have pictures of elk on them!

Jacob's Birthday
Yesterday was Jacob's birthday! We tried to make it a big deal and let hime know that it was his special day. He picked what kind of cake he wanted and what he wanted for dinner (Fried Shrimp) yum. This was the first time he has reall been excited about presents. It was so fun to watch him open them. He saw one in the back of the car before his birthday so he knew what it was but was still so excited when he opened it. On Sat I asked him if he knew what tomorrow was and he said "yeah yeah I get to wear my birthday helmet" This is the present that he saw. Anyway it was a fun day. We are so blessed to have two such beautiful little boys. Jacob is a ton of fun (a little moody) but a ton of fun none the less. Happy birthday Jacob we love you!
One last note Cheyenne got his elk last night YAY! Three more to go for the Scharf's and we're done!

Dr Advice
Okay all you Pinedale ladies. I need some advice on a pediatrician. The situation in Rock Springs has gotten rediculous and I am thinking about going to Jackson. If anyone has a Dr they love for their little ones I would love to know the names. Thanks so much

Fun with my sister and our kids!
My sister was here last week. It was so nice to spend time with her. We had a blast and so did the kids. I wish she could come more often there is so much that we plan to do and just don't get it done. Our kids played and played and we were sad to see her go. We miss you Sally, Keagan, and Ella. Come back soon!

Hunting Season!
Well hunting season is upon us. It has dominated all of our free time for the last two weeks. This is the first year I have gone bow hunting and it was absolutely amazing. I had never heard an elk bugle in the woods before, and I swear it will raise the hairs on your neck. We saw bulls fighting, rolling in wallows, banging their horns on trees it was awesome. Needless to say I am hooked. I have always given Cheyenne a hard time about his hunting obsession but after that experience mine might be more than his. I have been online looking at crossbows and camo for myself so next year I can be more than just a spectator. I was going to take a picture of us all camoed up but never got to. Now it is on to deer hunting until Sat when rifle elk opens.

M*I*A
You might think I have been missing because I have been moving into my new house, but that is only partially true. I have two words for you all BREAKING DAWN! I should be done this evening and life can return to normal. (well as normal as life ever is after finishing one of Stephanie Meyer's amazing books) So I miss you all and just wanted to give you a little update. I got my first customer off my photography website today YAY I am so excited. The boys are well. Justin had a rough week last week. He had his first ear infection and then an allergic reaction to amoxicillin so it was a rough week. we are over that now and will hopefully be moving forward. The weather is getting chilly here already. We had to wear jackets to church yesterday. We had the wonderful experience of speaking in church yesterday woopee Chey did amazing despite his fears. Glad that we are through with that. Well I have to go read. Jen I have not read your last chapter!!! I am So Sorry. But I will either tonight or tomorrow. Well tata for now.

So much blogging...So little time
Maybe it should say so much moving so little time??? I feel like all I have done for days is unpack, move, put stuff away etc, etc, etc.... I am so tired of it and ready for a break. But most certainly I am happy to be in my house. I have so many new pictures to post but can't find the time to post them. I am really going to have to look into a slide show of some sort. Since I blogged last, Jacob caught his first fish, we went camping with my parents, and sisters family, I finished painting the house, ummmm i am sure there are more pics than that. Oh yeah we got those puppies that I keep promising to post pictures of.
So as we move life goes on. Justiin is starting to stand on his own a little. He is a realtively happy boy and into everything. I say all the time that each child is different but I am blown away every day at just how different they are. Jacob is still Jacob. All of the unsettledness of our life has gotten to him and he won't be more than about two steps away from me at all times. It gets a little rough sometimes. Hopefully as we get settled he will too and it will all get back to normal. I sometimes feel like I am just waiting to go home, like this is just temporary. One day it will all sink in and I will realize that I really do live in Sublette county FOREVER. Well now I have to go load pics on my photography website.

Update on the House
They started setting our house today! They got one section on, the next section very, very, very, stuck and then unstuck. Put in position to put on the foundation and then they decided they had worked long enough, and they went home for the day. Cheyenne and Craig both ended up coming home from work early. We were hoping they would get the second section on and the third in position while they were here to help with the tractor but as always it did not go as expected. Here is a picture before they started setting the house. The first picture is of our foundation and the water in it. This is with two pumps running mind you. Next are the first two sections and the third one is the last section. I will take more pictures of our progress.

Is it JUNE or is it DECEMBER
Is today June 10????????? I am a little confused, it is 37 degrees and snowing, yes that is what I said it is snowing..... I am getting a little peturbed by the current weather. I am not sure it will ever get warm here. I am not asking for 80 degree weather but a nice mild 65 would be PERFECT. Anyway done with the complaning.
So we decided to rent to own our house to some friends of ours. The market is in the toilet and we needed their help as much as they needed ours. Answered prayers on both parts I believe. I am going to Rock Springs tomorrow to pack up our stuff. Our new house is sitting on our property in three pieces. It was supposed to be set today but as I have said before nothing ever happens when it is supposed to. hopefully when I get back from Rock Springs it will be ready for a little paint.
